Precise Paving is a full-service asphalt paving contractor on Palmer Road in Brimfield. Its own site says it has been in business since 2001, serving central and western Massachusetts, and names Donald Foster and Kevin O'Malley as the principals with a combined 40-plus years in the paving industry. The work spans residential driveways and sidewalks through to commercial paving, cold planing and milling, site development, excavation and drainage. The public-works side is the best-documented part of the record. Eversource has contracted the company to restore roadway and sidewalk segments across Northampton that had been trenched and temporarily patched, including mill-and-overlay patches on Chestnut Street, Lilly Street, Mann Terrace, the Maple Street–Pine Street intersection, South Main Street and Warfield Place. A road resurfacing contract was awarded to the company at $561,835.50 as of September 2023. Homeowner accounts are thin and they split. A customer writing in 2021 said the crew arrived on time, finished quickly and gave good advice on planning the driveway; another in 2023 said the road they paved could not have been better. Against that, a 2024 reviewer who had previously used the company for a parking lot said he chased a driveway estimate for over a month — two calls to the office, three to the estimator's mobile, and no reply — and a 2025 reviewer said an entire road was blocked without signage and their car was towed at a cost of $225. The Better Business Bureau grades the company A+ and lists no complaints, which sits oddly beside those two Google complaints; read them together rather than either alone. With seven Google ratings in total, there is not enough homeowner history to be confident. For a driveway, the record points to two practical steps: get the estimate confirmed in writing and pin down who your contact is, since that is where the complaints land, and ask how the site will be signed and access kept open while the crew is working.
