Preference Painting LLC

Nearly thirty reviews of Preference Painting describe the same job: Alex painting someone's kitchen cabinets. The Easton painting company says it has been in business 40 years and lists a service area that includes Fairfield, Greenwich, Stamford, Norwalk, Westport, Weston and Wilton, along with what its site calls the "West Chester County NY areas". A 2018 reviewer calls Alex the owner, and a September 2025 review names him Alex Germaine. It holds a 5 from 46 ratings on Google, a 4.9 from 16 on Thumbtack and a 4.8 from 37 on both Angi and HomeAdvisor. The newest reviews are cabinet jobs too. An August 2026 customer had kitchen cabinets painted in 10 days and said "we were able to use the kitchen during the whole makeover"; an April 2026 reviewer said the cabinets "looked like totally new cabinets" and that Alex was "very reasonable in his pricing." A June 2026 customer said Alex "completed the job in the timeframe quoted", worked through a few issues left by a recent renovation, and was hired for a second project. The longer accounts go into the process. In an April 2025 review, a customer said Alex showed a sample first, kept the kitchen usable until the final two days of a two-week job, and worked around three dogs. A March 2025 reviewer said Alex and a partner sealed the panels "so they last longer." A July 2025 customer described Alex agreeing to paint a delayed replacement cabinet whenever it arrived from the manufacturer. In a June 2023 review, a customer said he worked with a faux finish painter so the faux finish could go over his cabinet work. A 2022 customer had original solid oak cabinets from 1960 painted, and a 2018 reviewer said Alex restored cabinets "caked with paint" and spent an entire day re-hanging the doors on new hinges so they sat level. Other painting appears too: a 2022 customer had a room and stairs painted, and in a 2013 review a customer had the main floor interior and the entire exterior of a newly bought house painted. Its Connecticut home improvement contractor registration, HIC.0639670, is active under Preference Painting LLC.
