Premier Fence LLC is a Canton, MA fencing contractor founded in 1998 by CEO John Feerick, installing cedar, PVC, vinyl, chain link, and ornamental fencing plus automated gates and guard rail for residential, commercial, and municipal customers across Massachusetts. In late 2025 the company was acquired by private-equity firm Harkness Capital Partners, and in March 2026 it acquired SecurityWorks, a perimeter-security services company -- a sign of financial backing and expansion, though this reflects corporate ownership rather than homeowner-facing service quality. The written review record is sharply split. Many customers describe a smooth, professional experience: on-time crews, clean job sites, strong communication, and repeat commercial relationships (one contractor, CityScapes, describes an ongoing collaboration dating to 2016). One 2023 review describes the company sourcing a hard-to-match, sun-faded fence color after a car struck an older fence, with praise for the communication throughout. Against that, a recurring theme surfaces across several independent, detailed reviews spanning 2022 to 2025: difficulty getting the company to respond to repair requests after installation. One customer says posts installed under a cedar-fence contract were never properly cemented and had to be redone by another contractor three years later after repair requests were ignored; another reports six months of unanswered repair calls for a problem that had also gone unresolved a year earlier; a third describes three no-shows for a repair despite an agreed quote. A separate 2023 review describes the owner shouting at a customer in a road encounter unrelated to a specific job. The company's Massachusetts Home Improvement Contractor license (#140250) is registry-verified as currently expired, and public OSHA records show 2 violations across 1 inspection with $23,170 in assessed penalties. Homeowners hiring Premier Fence for a straightforward installation have a good chance of a smooth, well-communicated project based on the bulk of the record, but the recurring pattern of unresponsiveness to post-installation repairs is worth asking about directly, and the expired HIC license should be confirmed with the state before signing a contract.

"Huge shoutout to Premier Fence! From the initial quote to the final walkthrough, the process was seamless. They showed up exactly when they said they would, finished the project on schedule, and left our site clean. Their communication was 10/10. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a stress-free fencing project."
Can not provide a review because they never respond to quotes for work that we send and we even have a contract with the company.
A pleasure to do business with.
The job was done within the timeframe that was given and looks amazing. When they left, the yard was left like the fence had been there all along.
Had 150 ft of cedar fence installed. Withheld final payment until they picked up all the debris from the old fence (which was part of the deal). Three years later, several sections were flapping in the wind and a few posts had broken. They ignored my requests for repairs. Had a local person come to fix it. He said about 6 posts had broken and NONE of them had been cemented in the ground. He took the whole thing apart and did it the right way. No problems since. I would not recommend Premier Fence. In their reply they say they have no record of me calling them.. Well just another reason not to do business with them since I did call and was told a manager would contact me.
