"Not inexpensive but worth it in my opinion" — that's a May 2021 Angi reviewer, who also wrote that the crew got lots of work done quickly and well. Primavera Landscaping & Construction works out of Marlborough and says it was founded in 2010 by Christiano, who brought more than 20 years in the trade to it; the site calls the business family-owned, and its Better Business Bureau page names Chris Oliveira as owner and carries an A+ grade. Most of what customers describe is upkeep: mowing, fertilizing, mulch, and the big seasonal clean-ups. Six of the 22 written reviews mention the crew turning up when promised or earlier — a September 2021 customer wrote that they came early in the morning and finished with mulch around the house. A June 2021 review described the difference pruning and clearing made to a yard left alone for years, and added that at the end of a very long day the crew were still laughing. "By far they are the best I have retained for this project over a 15-year span," wrote a homeowner about their fall clean-up in November 2019. The company also lists construction work — walkways, stonewalls, patios, paver steps — plus tree and hedge work, pressure washing and snow removal. Two things are worth raising before you book. Price is one: a December 2015 customer who had bought a full-service contract objected to how much the full package ran and to being pitched optional fertilizers on top of it, while another 2015 review called the company responsive and well priced and a third said the service was good for the cost. Reach is the other — the same May 2021 reviewer who said the work was worth the money said they can sometimes be difficult to get in touch with, and advised being persistent and patient. Those written accounts run from 2015 to 2022, so they describe the crews of that stretch. Angi and HomeAdvisor both show 4.9 from 58 ratings, and the HomeAdvisor page is the same profile carrying the same reviews rather than a second set of customers. How long the company has been at it depends where you look: the website says founded in 2010 and 16 years in business, the BBB page says 15 years, and Angi's own page says 12 years in one spot and 21 in another. For weekly lawn care, a spring or fall clean-up, or mulch and pruning on a yard that has gotten away from you, Primavera is a sensible call. Get the season's price in writing with any optional treatments listed separately, and agree on how to reach them once the work is booked.
