Prism Engineer LLC is a small, owner-operated handyman and home-maintenance company in Swampscott. The company says owner Preston Lofgren is a mechanical engineer who started the business after independent work on North Shore handyman projects, bathroom remodels and whole-house rebuilds, and describes services for homeowners and businesses including carpentry, assembly and one-off design solutions. Two Reddit mentions connect the company with North Shore homeowners: a 2023 Salem-area mention identifies Prism Engineering as “Prism Engineering (Preston)” and gives a phone number, while a 2026 mention links to the company site. Prism reports that it is insured and registered as a Massachusetts Home Improvement Contractor under number 193139, and the state registry shows an active HIC license for Prism Engineer LLC. The company is a plausible fit for an owner-led handyman or small carpentry project; confirm the written scope and contracting entity before booking a larger remodel.
