Providence Glass & Mirror describes itself as a glass and mirror business in North Providence that has been working on homes and businesses since 2015. A 2026 customer brought in the dimensions of a glass shelf for a glass-front antique cabinet, and said the finished shelf fit perfectly. A 2026 customer said Chris and Rafael got the job done in a timely manner and made sure all the broken glass was cleaned up. A 2026 customer said a technician measured on May 12 and the installation did not happen until July 27, when the installer said the original measurements or order were incorrect and an additional window frame had to be ordered. That 2026 customer said they had paid for the glass on May 21, that both appointments were nearly an hour late, and that by August 17 they still had no completed installation, no price for the frame and no update. A 2026 customer seeking a replacement for a broken window said measurements for the quote were taken on May 20, and that the quote came only after calls on June 4, June 8 and June 10. Once it was sent, that 2026 customer was asked to pay the full estimate of $655.49 before the job started, and said they were no longer comfortable prepaying.
“The fire spread to a multi-family home, as well as Providence Glass & Mirror.”
I brought the dimensions of a glass shelf to Providence Glass and Mirror to fit in a glass front antique cabinet. They were pleasant and took my order. When the order was complete it fit perfectly. I would definitely recommend this company.
Very disappointing experience from start. The technician came to measure on May 12, and I waited until July 27 for the installation. When the installer finally arrived, I was told that the original measurements/order were incorrect — the glass alone would not work, and an additional window frame had to be ordered. I asked them to expedite the additional order. A week later, I called twice to follow up, and both times I was told someone would call me back. It is now August 17, and I have received absolutely no follow-up. I have tried calling again, but no one is answering. I already paid for the glass on May 21, and no one has even told me how much extra the window frame will cost or when the installation can actually be completed. To make matters worse, both appointments were nearly an hour late. After waiting more than three months, I still do not have a completed installation, a clear price, or even a basic update. Extremely poor communication, poor coordination, and a very frustrating customer experience.
Great customer service from Chris & Rafael. The were professional and courteous. They got the job done in a timely manner. They were conscientious and were sure to get all the broken glass cleaned up. I would highly recommend Providence Glass & Mirror to everyone.!!!
At every point since the process of seeking a replacement for a broken window began over 3 weeks ago I have been told actions would be taken, that never happened and were never followed up. The original measurements for the quote were taken on Wednesday May 20th, 3 weeks ago. After two weeks of not hearing anything I phoned last Thursday June 4th. to follow-up. I was promised someone would get back to me within 24 hours with the quote and it would be emailed. That never happened. I followed up again on Monday June 8th after I received a message saying the quote had been emailed. It had not. It was not in my email inbox, nor my spam folder. Today, Wednesday June 10th I had to call again asking for the quote. After it was finally sent, I was asked to pay the full estimate amount of $655.49 before the job was started. As I did not want to pay the additional credit card fee, I asked to pay by bank transfer and was promised someone would send me a secure link to pay today. At 4:26pm I sent a reminder email asking for the link. It is now 7:39 and I still haven’t received anything. After all of the unfulfilled promises that have been made to me over the last 3 weeks, I am no longer comfortable prepaying for a job I have no assurance and no confidence will be completed at all, let alone on time. This has been a terrible customer service experience from start to finish and I will be leaving a review detailing my experience. The only reason I stuck with your company for so long throughout this process was because you were highly recommended. However, no one from your company has ever addressed the lack of service I’ve received or apologized for the constant delays and unfulfilled promises. It is important to me that those who recommended you know this.
