PRW Landscaping's HomeAdvisor listing names landscape design, lawn care, sod installation, retaining walls and brick and stone patios among its services. In a 2010 review, a customer said Paul Wheeler graded and seeded their back yard and side yard, put in a garden next to the house, and built a small wall and step. That 2010 customer said the grass was growing in nicely two weeks after the work. In a 2011 review, a customer said Paul answered their questions and came back more than once to explain why crabgrass was mixed in with the new grass, and that they came back to water the lawn while the customer was away. In a 2012 review, a customer said they were charged more than twice what was quoted, that the work had to be redone, and that continuing work they paid for ahead of time was still not completed after 7 months. In a 2011 review, a customer said they did not show up when expected, did not call back, and never completely finished the job.
Typical your area range for this kind of work, from regional averages — not a quote from PRW Landscaping. Use it to sanity-check bids, then get the real number in writing.

Typical landscaping service around $60
Charged more than twice what was quoted, was constantly late. Quality of work was poor, had to be redone, and was not what was promised. Made the mistake of paying him ahead of time for continuing work which still not been completed after 7 months. Does not return phone calls and web site is down.
We wouldn't hire this company again. He makes of when they are coming and they don't show up. When we call him he says he will call us back and doesn't call us back. Never completely finished the job!
Their team did a good job, and even came back to water the lawn while we were away. Paul answered all my questions, and came back more than once to explain why I was getting crabgrass mixed in with the new grass (I guess I waited too late in the season to start a new lawn!), and make suggestions for next spring.
Paul and his team are wonderful to work with, and extremely professional! Will hire for future yard projects!
