Eight hundred square feet of pavers, fifty feet of retaining wall, a 150-square-foot walkway — and two feet of elevation stripped out of the yard before any of it went down. That is the job one customer described in June 2026, and it is the clearest picture of what Quality Landscape does when the work is big. The Revere company says it has been running since 1992. Its HomeAdvisor page carries a 4.8 across 30 ratings, though most of that writing is old: the reviews there run 2013 to 2020, with Louie — Lou to some — and Mike named again and again. A September 2016 customer said the communication beat several other contractors they had hired; a May 2016 one called Lou gruff at first, then said he was straight about everything and the price came in competitive. Several describe same-day estimates and jobs finished inside a week. The newer Google reviews are fewer but consistent with that: a November 2024 customer singled out a sod job, another that month called the crew efficient and quick, and a third said they had been using the company for years. There is one loud exception worth reading before you call. In June 2025 a one-star reviewer — a neighbor of a job site, not a customer — wrote that the crew took water from their property and then denied having been on it, and described rudeness and a blocked driveway. It is a single account, and it is about conduct on the street rather than finished work, but it is specific and it is the newest negative on file. Separately, a May 2019 customer who liked their rock-garden install said the crew's horticultural knowledge was limited. Landscaping-only contractors are exempt from Massachusetts home improvement contractor registration, so nothing turns on registration here. If your project is hardscape — patio, wall, walkway, a regrade — that June 2026 write-up is the most detailed thing on file and the reason to call. Ask who is running the crew on your job, and if you share a driveway or a tight lot line, settle water and access before day one.
