Recon Roofing and Gutters

Recon Roofing and Gutters is a Watertown roofing and gutter contractor whose current owner, Frank Mahoney, says he worked his way up at the company from laborer to foreman before taking it over in 2019. The company says it covers Middlesex, Suffolk and Norfolk counties, handling roof replacement, roof repair, gutter work, power washing, and commercial roofing. There isn't a customer review on file for this company yet, but the city permit trail tells its own story: BuildZoom's building-permit records show 15 completed roofing and gutter jobs pulled under the company's name. One thing worth checking before hiring: Massachusetts's contractor registry currently lists the company's home improvement contractor license (HIC #182805) as expired. Its own website separately prints a different registration number, and BuildZoom's records show several more Massachusetts licenses tied to the business over the years, all inactive — worth asking the company to clarify its current registration status directly. For roofing or gutter work in the Watertown area, Recon Roofing and Gutters has a real project history behind it — but confirm an active Massachusetts home improvement contractor registration before signing anything, since none is currently verified.
