Refresh! Painting Co is a small painting outfit; its website says the founder started it in 2020 and runs it with two other painters. A recent Google customer said Mike and his guys stained the exterior of a log home with an uneven surface and a lot of awkward angles, and were careful and thorough while the customer worked from home. A recent customer on a large exterior painting project said the owner spent time consulting on color selections and kept them informed through weather-related delays. In a 2024 review, a customer said the company painted the house exterior and repaired damaged external trim where needed. A 2023 customer hired the company for interior painting in several rooms after water damage, some with bare drywall and stained plaster ceilings. A 2025 Reddit commenter warned against using Mike at Refresh! Painting, saying they had to report him to the AG over a deposit, while adding that he does a pretty good job when he does the work. A 2024 Reddit commenter said the company ghosted them for two years and paid them back quickly once he heard from the AG. In a 2023 Reddit comment about Mike of Refresh! Home Painting, the commenter said more than a year had passed since he said he would do the job, and three months since he said he would pay back the deposit.
“DO NOT use Mike at Refresh! Painting. He sometimes does the work (and does a pretty good job when he does) but I had to report him to the AG for stealing my deposit and I know someone else who had to do the same.”
“I did this when a painter (refresh, was the company) ghosted me for two years. BOY did he pay me back quickly when he heard from the AG.”
“I'm going through this with Mike of Refresh! Home Painting. Been more than a year since he said he would do it, and three months since he said he'd pay back the deposit. Do. Not. Hire. Him.”
We recently ReFresh! for a large exterior painting project, and we couldn't be happier with the results. After obtaining multiple quotes, they offered the best value by far, combining a competitive price with exceptional service and quality workmanship. The owner was an outstanding communicator throughout the entire process. He kept us informed every step of the way, proactively managed weather-related delays, and was always responsive to questions and concerns. We especially appreciated the time he spent consulting with us on color selections, helping us make choices that truly enhanced the appearance of our home. As the project progressed, the team was flexible and able to provide additional services based on what they observed during the job. Their recommendations further improved the finished look of the property, and we're grateful for their expertise and attention to detail. The entire crew was professional, friendly, hardworking, and respectful of our home. The quality of the finished work exceeded our expectations, and our house looks fantastic. Supporting a local company that takes such pride in its work was a great experience. In fact, we're so pleased with the results that we already plan to hire them again for future interior painting projects. We highly recommend them to anyone looking for quality painting services and outstanding customer care. Provide your feedback on BizChat
Mike was easy to work with. He and his guys stained the exterior of my log home. Although the house has an uneven surface with a lot of awkward angles, they were careful, thorough, and respectful. I work from home and their presence wasn't in the least bit disruptive; if you work from home you appreciate that from anyone working on your house. I am extremely pleased with the finished look. If I decide to paint my cabinets I'll call Mike at Refresh! Painting Company in Maine.
Mike did a wonderful job painting our basement hallway, living room, bathroom, and a very tall stairwell. We had a very tight timeline before our family arrived, and Mike came through to finish the job on schedule. Care was taken to protect our furnishings, and at the end the cleanup was thoroughly completed. He even helped us by hanging a painting that we couldn't reach with our ladder. Attached some before and after photos. We recommend Refresh! Painting for anyone looking for an excellent outcome.
The Team at Refresh Painting crew was professional and a pleasure to work with. They made the entire process easy from start to finish, and the results exceeded my expectations. I would highly recommend their services to anyone looking for quality painting and excellent customer care.
I recently hired Mike to do 2 small projects and he was quick to provide excellent and professional service….I will use Mike again in the future for more paint projects….Thanks Mike
