Regatta Construction has been working in Marblehead long enough that its written record has aged out entirely — the only two reviews anyone has left date to 2010 and 2014, and nothing has been added since. The company was founded by general contractor Christian Tosi and runs a kitchen showroom alongside the design/build side: light-commercial and residential kitchen and bath remodeling, renovations, repairs, additions and custom furniture, out of 50 Jersey Street. Typical jobs are listed between $5,000 and $200,000, and every project carries a one-year warranty. Its Houzz page shows six projects and eighteen photos of finished work, with pages titled for kitchens in Boston, Winchester, Swampscott and Saugus and a patio in West Newbury. On credentials, the profiles list RRP lead-safe certification, Wolf & Sub-Zero certified installer status, and membership of NARI's Eastern Massachusetts chapter. The Houzz licence field prints "HIC 163531/Unrestricted 102163" — a home improvement contractor registration alongside an unrestricted construction supervisor number, which is the normal pair for a general contractor rather than a discrepancy. Both are the directory's entries, not verified against the state registry, so confirm them with Massachusetts yourself. The two written accounts need reading carefully. The February 2014 one praises Christian and the crew — "everyone from the owner down to the guy who keeps the site clean" — and notes the condo management company was impressed. But its author is Contractors Cabinet & Design, a trade business, and it closes "I cannot wait to work with Regatta again," which reads as a working relationship rather than a customer's. The other, from November 2010, is filed under the platform placeholder "Homeowner" with no star rating at all, and describes a basement remodel: quick callbacks, questions answered, work left tidy. No homeowner has written about this company in over a decade. A few numbers don't line up either. Its Houzz and Porch profiles say over 30 years in the building industry while its Angi page says 19 years of experience. Angi also displays a 0.0 headline with all five star buckets reading 0%, which is a broken counter rather than a verdict. And Porch's 5.0 is not independent — the page says it is "based on 1 online review" from elsewhere, so one rating is being shown twice across two sites. This is a long-established Marblehead outfit with a thin and dated public record, not a bad one. If you're considering them, ask for two or three references from jobs finished in the last year, and settle which of the two tenure figures is right.
