More than 500 feet of trenching, including four crossings through paved lots: a July 2026 customer said Renaissance Excavating cut, trenched and patched those sections without disrupting customers. The same reviewer described the crew installing six 80-inch ground screws for electrical service pedestals, avoiding the need to pour concrete. Renaissance Excavating is based in Gill. A homeowner writing in December 2023 described a septic-system failure a few weeks before Christmas. The family had worried about the cost and disruption to their holiday plans. They said Renaissance Excavating worked with a local civil engineer on the new system, broke ground and quickly prepared the area for tanks supplied by a third party. The homeowner praised both the engineer and excavating company for explaining what was happening and why. That 2023 customer also credited the company with contacting other contractors and services, coordinating with the town, and obtaining permits and documentation for the build. They said the work eased the family's concerns before Christmas. A September 2026 reviewer praised timely work and helpful, informative staff. An October 2019 customer had also praised the quality of the work and said everyone was responsive and easy to work with. Google shows a 5-star average from five ratings.
“He spent 27 years as chair, splitting time with his business, Renaissance Excavating.”

RenEx trenched over 500 feet of distance for us, including 4 sections across paved lots which were cut, trenched, and patched without disruption to customers. They turned 6 80" ground screws for electrical service pedestals so we didn't have to pour concrete.
Always a pleasure to work with these professionals
I/we as a family truly just want to share our positive experience so others know that there is a fare and exceptional group of people performing a much needed service. My wife and I unfortunately had a septic system failure a few weeks before Christmas. With a heavy heart and the prognosis from professionals of the system failure we as homeowners and parents of two young children panicked . (Due to the perceived cost and selfishly the disruption of our fast approaching holiday celebrations) Renaissance excavation came to the rescue! These people and this company are 2nd to non. They have executed the design of a new system utilizing a local extremely talented civil engineer. They broke ground, prepped the area for incoming 3rd party parts (the tanks) extremely quickly. They have been friendly and informative (both the engineer and the excavating company) on what is happening and why. I would not wish this home owner issue onto anyone, as it has been very stressful. However if you find yourself in a situation similar to ours, the ONLY company you should reach out to is renaissance excavating. This company took care of everything! Contacting 3rd party contractors or other services and contacting the town, and getting all required permits/documentation for the build. All the while easing our concerns as stressed out homeowners just before Christmas. I can say without a doubt that Renaissance Excavating and all supporting professionals involved, saved our families holiday. THANK YOU RENAISSANCE EXCAVATING! You have a customer and advocate for life!
Excellent quality work, everyone was responsive and very easy to work with. I highly recommend.
