Verified record
Richard Stewart is a Plymouth-based home inspector whose Massachusetts home inspector license is active and registry-verified. The two reviews on file, both from 2021, describe a careful, unhurried process. One buyer said he wore a mask at the property, listened to their concerns without rushing them, and explained every issue in terms they could understand — photographing each problem and marking it with a red arrow so it was clear what needed attention. He spent four hours on that inspection and charged what the reviewer called a reasonable price. A second reviewer that same year called him extremely knowledgeable and thorough. With only two reviews on file, both several years old, there isn't much of a recent record to point to — worth confirming his current availability and pricing directly before booking.

When he came to my home he took care to put on a face mask. He listened to all my concerns about the property, and didn't rush me. Richard explained everything to me in a way that I could understand. He also took pictures of evert issue that needed addressing and highlighted it to me, pointing it out with a red arrow in the picture. He was very personable and easy to deal with. He spent four hours at my property, and charged me a reasonable amount, for the report, his expertise and advice. I highly recommend him.
Richard is extremely knowledgeable, and very thorough. Excellent inspector and highly recommended.
