RCC, Rick Cunningham Cabinetmaker, describes itself as a custom cabinet shop in Rhode Island working on kitchen and bath cabinetry, custom closets, drawer inserts and radiator covers. The company says it has been in business 20 years. A 2023 Houzz reviewer said Rick helped remodel their whole house, building a custom kitchen, mud room, pantry, laundry room, master bathroom and kid’s bathroom. A 2025 customer said Rick constructed and installed the wall closets in their breezeway/laundry room, with a lot of communication about the design until they were satisfied. A 2024 Google reviewer said Rick did mantlepieces and built-in cabinets at two of their homes in RI. In a 2020 review, a customer described Rick converting a plain closet into a built-in china cabinet after he came out to assess the project, took measurements and offered design ideas. A 2017 customer said Rick built a custom cabinet for their bathroom that had to match existing cabinetry, and completed the job reliably. A 2015 reviewer described custom cabinets with fold-and-slide doors, distressed-wood barn doors and trapezoidal closet doors Rick made for one of their projects. A 2015 customer said it helped to see the work in his shop before completion, so changes could be raised then.
Rick constructed and installed the wall closets in our breezeway/laundry room. What I appreciated most about Rick is the communication we had. So many times dealing with vendors and contractors they don't always do what they say. This was not the case with Rick. There was a lot of communication about the project until we were satisified with the design. He was prompt in the delivery and installation. His workmanship is beautiful and we have had so many compliments. I cannot say enough about Rick his crew and the results which we love!! I would definetely hire him again for any future projects.
I have had work done by Rick Cunningham at two of my homes in RI. He did beautiful work at both homes, including mantlepieces, built-in cabinets and other projects. In the last 15 years, I have referred Rick to clients of mine who are looking for customized cabinetry, and all have been very happy with his work. I whole-heartedly recommend Rick Cunningham for any carpentry work.
Rick is the best. He has done a few projects for us, both big and small. We did our entire kitchen/pantry with him, and then he came back out to rework some cabinets years later to accommodate some updates. He does great work, we get a lot of compliments.
Rick Cunnigham helped remodel our whole house. He build the custom kitchen of my dreams, mud room, pantry, laundry room, master bathroom and kid’s bathroom. He was always available if I needed any repairs especially with three kids and a big dog.
We hired Rick to convert a closet into a built in china cabinet and we couldn't be more pleased with the finished product. Rick came out to the house to assess the project, took measurements and offered design ideas. We can't say enough about Rick's attention to detail and precision craftsmanship that transformed what was once a plain closet into a built in unit that looks like it was original to the house. The finished product exceeded our expectations. We would highly recommend Rick for any custom woodworking project.
