Riddle Construction's written history is a decade old, and it splits sharply. A January 2015 reviewer's entire point was that he shows up on time. Between those two sits a May 2014 account of storm damage to an old roof. That homeowner hired him to replace it, he said he would start by the beginning of March and took a down payment, then became virtually unreachable — and by the time the review was written in May, nothing had been done. The Kingston company's Massachusetts home improvement contractor registration, #102164, is expired on the state registry. On Angi it lists basement remodels and deck installation and repair, with three projects shown and a 3.5-star average across three ratings — two at five stars, one at one star. If you are considering them, start with the registration: ask whether it has been renewed and get the current number before you sign. Keep any deposit small, tie it to a written start date, and put the schedule in the contract.
