It describes itself as family-owned and operated. Owner and general contractor Tad Jaillet holds a Massachusetts Construction Supervisor Licence, and the Community Advocate reported in April 2025 that he has more than twenty years in the construction trades, co-founding the partnership H&J Home Solutions in January 2020 and renaming the company Ridgemark after becoming sole proprietor in 2024. The credentials check out where it matters most. The state registry confirms Massachusetts Home Improvement Contractor licence 211521 as active in the company's own name, BuildZoom independently verified the same number, and the BBB has accredited the business with an A rating since August 2024. BuildZoom's permit records also show real work: a second-floor deck replacement in Chestnut Hill valued at $70,267, permitted in January 2025 and marked complete. What is genuinely thin is the customer voice. Across five sources there is a single written review, and neither its Houzz nor its BuildZoom profile has attracted any at all. The company is new under this name — the BBB puts the business start at 30 January 2024 — so there simply has not been much time for a public record to build. Anyone hiring should ask for recent local references directly rather than expecting to find them online. A couple of published details also disagree. The Community Advocate wrote in December 2025 that the firm had served Central Massachusetts "for the last six years" — a figure that reaches back past the rename to the 2020 partnership — while the BBB records two years in business. The BBB also lists a different phone number, (508) 202-0097, from the (774) 578-2530 carried on Houzz and BuildZoom. This is a sensible shortlist candidate for a Central Massachusetts kitchen, bath or addition where a properly licensed, permit-filing contractor matters more than a long review history. Confirm which number reaches the office, and ask to see finished work nearby.
