The standout detail in RiverStone Custom Builders’ Wellesley portfolio is the scale of the work: Houzz shows nine projects, and a 2016 customer described taking an outdated home down to the studs and rebuilding every surface. The company’s listed work includes custom homes, additions, whole-home remodeling, and masonry. Six Houzz reviews, all dated September 2016, carry five stars. Customers describe custom-home construction, a full renovation, and close attention to design and detail; one reviewer who worked with the builders professionally also noted their focus on energy efficiency and recovered materials. A 2017 local-news article identifies Pete Holland as a RiverStone principal and describes his familiarity with a Wellesley lot from nearby building work. These are detailed accounts of substantial projects, but they are a decade old. For a new build or major renovation, ask who will lead the work day to day, request recent local references, and compare current examples with the scope you have in mind.

Riverstone oversaw the construction of our custom home from design phase through to the finish. Their attention to detail, use of high quality products, keen eye for design and customer service make Riverstone stand apart from other builders.
Riverstone did a complete overhaul of an outdated 1970's contemporary for us. We brought things down to the studs and every surface of the house was rebuilt, in addition to making some very useful changes to the floor plans. Not only were they reliable and effective structural homebuilders, they have a great eye. Their guidance along the way, in partnership with our interior designer, helped to create the perfect urban rustic aesthetic. We are grateful everyday for the dream house they helped us create and we would recommend them enthusiastically.
I have worked with Riverstone builders for the past 5+ years. Peter Holland and John Hourighan are both extremely knowledgeable, enthusiastic and talented builders. Their designs are unique in that they are a blend of "old and new". "Old", in that they stay loyal to the classic New England style of home and "New" because their homes include all of the modern, state of the art conveniences. Their focus on energy efficiency while incorporating recovered materials is truly unique. This is just another way in which Riverstone Custom Builders sets themselves apart from the rest of the market. I have enjoyed working with them and hope to continue to work together for many years to come. Respectfully, Jeffrey A. Gray President Structural Wood Systems, Inc.
RiverStone has been a complete pleasure to work with. They are incredibly customer focused and will do their best to make any request come to life. They run a lean and efficient operation. I sometimes go weeks without visiting the site and I have no concerns that everything will be at the highest quality standard.
Riverstone did an excellent job of building our dream home!! They paid attention to all the little details and valued our input as customers. Would highly recommend them to build or renovate your space!
