Highlights

  • Retaining wall rebuild — a 2026 customer said the crew followed engineering specs
  • Flooded basement help — a 2025 customer said Jason came right out
  • Septic failure response — a 2025 customer said they were fit in quickly

Riverview Contracting says on its website that it handles both the bidding and the execution of each project. Its stated service area includes Lebanon, South Berwick, Eliot, Kittery, York, Ogunquit, Wells, Dover, Portsmouth and Rochester. A recent Google customer said Jason and his team rebuilt two boulder walls and installed natural stone steps and two paving stone patios, one with a fire pit, in a tight back yard. A recent customer said Jason took a Thursday job to demo, landscape and spread loam and was done by 3pm, when they had planned on it taking a few days. A 2026 customer described replacing a failing retaining wall that was over 12 feet at its peak, within feet of the house and the lake below. That 2026 customer said Jason and his crew followed a geotechnical engineering firm's specs to build the two-tiered rock wall that replaced it. A 2025 customer said Jason came right out when their basement flooded, got the water out, dried the basement and helped them through the insurance process. A 2025 customer said Jason and his crew fit them in quickly when their septic system failed, and that Jason also cut several trees and pulled the stumps. A 2025 customer said Riverview did all the site work for their addition, along with building demolition, tree removal, landscaping installation and hydroseeding.

Jason and his dedicated professional team did a great job rebuilding two boulder walls, installing natural stone steps and two paving stone patios, (one with a fire pit), in our very tight back yard. He understood the vision we had and and made it happen. We are very happy with the work they did!

Jason took the job on a Thursday to demo, landscape and spread loam. The land he was working on looked rough! I planned on this taking a few days; he was done by 3pm! His team was fast efficient and very respectful of our property. Could not be any happier with the result. 5/5 would hire again!

We spent months trying to find the right contractor to take on our extremely complex replacement of a massive failing retaining wall. The wall being replaced was over 12’ at its peak, located within feet of the house and the lake below. I can’t emphasize enough how complex the project was. Within extremely tight quarters, in the middle of winter, the contractor would need to dismantle the failing rock wall without removal of an existing overhead deck. After removal, of the rocks, and the inadequate fill previously used behind the old wall, the contractor would build a two tiered rock wall. The complex two tiered replacement wall was designed by a very reputable Geotechnical Engineering company. Riverview Contracting was more than up to the challenge. Jason and his crew, followed the Engineering specs very carefully, and they were meticulous in every aspect of the job. Jason was very easy to work with at every turn. He was very approachable and receptive to feedback, and he offered excellent suggestions on how to improve different aspects of the project. Riverview did a great job. Their ability to make this all happen, without a hitch, is truly remarkable. Thank you!

Amazing communications, explained everything and I felt confident before they started the work. When they were finished I was blown away. 10/10

When our basement flooded, we were completely panicked and had no idea where to begin. Jason from Riverview Contracting came right out to our house, got the water out immediately, thoroughly dried the basement, and helped us navigate the insurance process. What felt like a complete nightmare was made so much easier because of Jason and his team. They were professional, responsive, and did excellent work and most importantly, we now have a dry basement. We highly recommend Riverview Contracting!
