RJ Energy Services Inc gets called when the hot water or the heat quits. A 2026 customer said they called at 8 AM with no hot water and they were there by 9:15; the lines had to be bled, the tech was in and out in less than 30 minutes, and the customer called the pricing very fair. The company says it is a local, family-owned business that has served the greater Augusta, Maine community since 1987. John T. Ramsay holds an active Maine plumber licence, number MS90008463, on the state registry. A 2025 customer with an old furnace said that when it wasn't turning over one morning, the company was short staffed and sent the owner himself within an hour of the call. In a 2022 review, a customer said their 6-month-old water heater was giving an error code, and Graydon came out the next day and fixed and explained the issue. A 2024 customer said Arnold came the next day to fix a tub/shower issue in 2 hours. A 2024 customer said the owner came by to do an assessment and make recommendations about adding cellar heating units. A 2022 customer who had run out of oil said a man came over that day with 10 gallons of oil for a very cold night, and the company delivered oil the next morning. A 2025 customer said they called, emailed and did callbacks daily for weeks over a period of months with no response while they could not get heat or hot water hooked up. A 2025 reviewer writing for their parents said the parents bought heat pumps with service that qualified for federal rebates, and that when the family followed up on the rebate after the install, the company's response was rude and inconsiderate.

Call at 8 AM they were there by 9:15. Had no hot water had to bleed The lines, I guess I had air in them. The tech was super friendly. Very nice guy knew what he was doing. He was in and out in less than 30 minutes and the pricing was very fair. Will definitely do business again.
We have an old furnace in our home in central Maine, and RJ energy is always just a phone call away to ensure the heat and safety of our home. They are professional, kind, understanding, and timely. As an example, just this morning we woke up and found that the furnace wasn't turning over. I called RJ energy and was assured that they would be out this morning to check it out. They were short staffed, and sent the owner himself to come and help within an hour of my phone call. Solid folks, highly recommend for all of your heating needs.
I’m sad. I really wanna leave a good review. Called them many times, emailed them, did callbacks on a daily basis for a few weeks over a period of a few months, nothing (I can’t even find out if they are still open, (I see a review for less than a month and we’ve been calling two months prior to that), or if there gone for the winter, closed, retired, short staffed, can’t find anyone to work to take the phone calls or the emails…? Which I assume they’re still open from all the reviews I read or maybe they closed down I don’t know. There’s no signs on their door that say they’re gone. There’s always vehicles in the yard. I’ve tried to come in during their business hours, to no such luck, It’s now been two months and no response to just find out if they can help…, (It’s horrible. We have children, disabled veteran, old and young people here with disabilities and we can’t even get heat coming in or any kind of pump/ Hot Water hooked up, so we’ve been struggling taking a propane tank down to a local supplier to constantly refill it (even though we struggle even lifting it), no help, about every other week, it’s getting physically mentally and medically exhausting... We’ve had to buy two new tanks. Usually, these companies would bring out a tank and have us hooked up and filled up within a few days back in the day as of the last two years whenever we call even if we do it in the spring summer and fall, I get some really pissed off irritated angry person that is adamant that they will not take on any customers until late spring early summer and yet a lot of the other companies I used to call back in the day that are not there anymore even in the dead of winter would come out within a few days to get us hooked up so we’re not freezing, I understand what’s happening in the world, but…OMG!!!
Sharing this review on behalf of my parents. I would not recommend hiring this company after a negative experience they had. Bought heat pumps with service which qualified for the federal rebates. When my family followed up to get the rebate after the install, the response from the company was rude and inconsiderate. This company is taking advantage by stealing your rebate. Be weary of doing business with these guys.
Owner came by our place to do v assessment and make recommendations about adding cellar heating units to get us out of the stacking and hauling 5 cord of 18" oak pieces for the furnace. Much appreciated JOHN Ramsey
