RM Stoneyards is a family-owned masonry and hardscaping company whose work centers on porches, steps, walkways, patios, retaining walls, and repairs. The company says it has specialized in hardscaping since 2003 and serves southern New Hampshire and northern Massachusetts. Recent Google reviews describe a front porch and sinking stairs rebuilt around the homeowner's stone choices, a retaining-wall extension, and a front walkway and stoop improvement. Reviews from 2023 and 2018 also describe repointing, front-step work, patio design, punctual arrival, and problem solving. One workmanship point is worth discussing before booking: a June 2025 reviewer praised the stonework but called the polymeric-sand application mediocre and listed preparation steps they expected. If your project includes paver-joint sanding, confirm the process in writing. RM Stoneyards fits masonry and hardscape projects where stone selection, layout, repairs, and exterior finish matter. Confirm scope, materials, and the sanding process in the estimate.
Our concrete front porch was 34 years old, had cracked and been repaired over the years, and the concrete stairs to our porch were sinking. We spoke with a couple of masonry contractors. One contractor only wanted to work in granite. We had a vision that included two different types of multi-colored stone and lower height stairs to accommodate our aging. RM Stoneyards was willing to work with us on our stone selections and our vision. The front porch, new stairs and walkway have completely transformed the look of our home. We could not be happier. Rodrigo and his team showed up when they said they were going to show up, completed the work on time and within the quoted price. We highly recommend them!
Awesome experience with Rod and his crew both in 2024 for a front walkway, retaining wall and front stoop improvement and in 2026 for a retaining wall extension. Professional, knowledgeable and helpful! They did a beautiful job.
Rodrigo and his team did good stonework but did a mediocre job applying polymeric sand to my existing patios. Ensure that after cleaning, the joints are dry before adding sand (a critical step), the sand is tamped down (if not you lose 30% of joint strength per manufacturer) and that excess sand is blown off before wetting/activating it. I expect this may result in having to redo it earlier than necessary- please also request an English speaker onsite to communicate with.
I will say I am very impressed with the great service professional workers, my retaing walls and fronts stairs are gorgeous perfect match to stone on new siding also great rates highly recommend if you want a great look
I wanted to get the brick and blue stone steps my dad built for me back in 1988 repaired. Bricks had cracked, mortar joints repaired, and general repointing. After calling four masons Mr. Mota was the only one who came out to see what was needed and gave me an estimate. He and his young worker repaired the steps at a reasonable price My dear old dad would be as happy as I was with the job they did.
