Robert C Bailey Building & Remodeling is a small general contracting business run by Robert Bailey. The Better Business Bureau files it at 499 Waverley Rd in North Andover, records it as started and incorporated on 20 February 2002 with six employees, and lists the work simply as General Contractor. That profile is not BBB accredited and carries no letter grade — the bureau says it does not have sufficient information to issue one. The one homeowner account on file goes a long way back and covers a lot of ground. Writing in October 2015, a customer said Bailey built a second-floor addition onto their ranch-style house in 1991, and over the years that followed also remodelled the first floor, replaced all the windows and built a backyard deck. They described him as always professionally presented, always arriving when he committed to, hard-working and personable, and said they had called him back repeatedly across some 25 years. It is a warm account, but it is a single one, written in 2015 about work that began in 1991. BuildZoom shows 18 permitted projects and a permit-derived score of 92 that it places in the top 32% of Massachusetts contractors. It lists Home Improvement Contractor registration #171905, issued 30 April 2026, and Construction Supervisor licence #CS-025620 as active and verified in 2026 — the directory's own checks, not a state registry confirmation, so get the numbers and check them yourself. The rest of that licence block needs a question or two. It bundles six records, including a second Massachusetts HIC number, 130940, listed as inactive and at one point cancelled, and a number 201868 that appears twice — once as a City of Newton residential builder registration expired December 2022 and once as a cancelled Massachusetts HIC. If you are considering him for an addition, a whole-floor remodel or exterior work around North Andover and Methuen, the long repeat relationship in that 2015 account is genuinely encouraging. Ask for the current HIC and construction supervisor numbers in writing, confirm them with the state, and ask for references from jobs finished in the last few years, since the published record stops in 2015.

Second floor addition, remodel first floor, replaced all windows, built backyard deck, other additio $0 First Class Contractor. I highly recommend Mr. Robert C. Bailey of North Andover for the construction of any project, building or addition you may have in mind. In 1991, Mr. Bailey built a second floor addition onto my ranch style home, I have been very pleased and thankful for Mr. Bailey's high quality of workmanship. Mr. Bailey always has a professional appearance, he always arrives when he makes a committment, works very hard with all projects, and is very personable. I have called Mr. Bailey for many additional projects over the last 25 years and find it very comforting to have such faith in him any project he works on. A very happy customer, Terrie
