Robert S Huss is a small North Shore residential builder working out of 25 Lufkin Point Road in Essex, with nine permitted projects on file and a scope running from single rooms and kitchens through additions, ADUs and whole-home remodels. The written history is one account and it dates from September 2019 — but it is a useful one. A repeat customer, Todd P., wrote that they had used Rob for several smaller jobs around the house, pointed to his local reputation as the reason for hiring, and made a practical point worth carrying forward: he is always busy, so a project you need by a certain date takes planning ahead. On the work itself, that customer said no one is more conscientious. BuildZoom lists two active Massachusetts credentials for him — a construction supervisor licence, CS-085787, which it saw active in July 2026, and a home improvement contractor registration, 146560, seen active in April 2026. Both are the directory's claims rather than confirmations from the state registry. He reads as the kind of builder people around Cape Ann call back for the next job rather than the outfit that advertises. Book early if you have a deadline, confirm the registration number with the state, and ask for references from recent work — the one written account on file is from 2019.

We have used Rob for several smaller jobs around our house. Because of his reputation locally (excellent!) you have to plan ahead for a project that you need by a certain date, as he is always busy. As for the quality of his work, you will find no one more conscientious or skilled for your project. Across the board, his work is top notch. He may not have the lowest bid, but you will get a very fair price for a job done properly. We enthusiastically recommend him without any hesitation!
