The tenure claim needs a direct question. Angi's listing says the company was established in 1994, with 32 years of experience. BuildZoom describes a company three years in operation, and the permit record starts in 2023. Those cannot both be right, and the gap is nearly three decades. Ask when the corporation was formed, and ask separately how long the owner has personally been doing the work - they are different answers and only one of them is on the page. The second thing to pin down is the address. Angi gives 29 Eastern Avenue, Apt 1 in Revere; BuildZoom gives the Methuen house. A move is the ordinary explanation, but confirm which one is current before you send a deposit anywhere. On licensing, BuildZoom lists a Massachusetts home improvement contractor registration, #197921, issued March 2026 and shown active. That is the directory's claim rather than a confirmation, and given the registration date is recent it is worth looking up yourself at the Office of Consumer Affairs and Business Regulation. Note also that HIC registration is a separate thing from a construction supervisor licence, which the bathroom and kitchen structural work would typically involve. No customer has reviewed this company anywhere that turned up. BuildZoom says so outright; Angi says the pro is new to both Angi and HomeAdvisor. The BuildZoom score of 95 is calculated from permit records, not from anyone's experience of the work, so it is not a rating. This is a call worth making if you want a small local crew for a kitchen or bathroom and you are willing to do the verification yourself: confirm the registration number, get the two permitted addresses as references, and get the scope and payment schedule in writing.
