In a 2023 review, a customer said the company couldn't get a generator for a year, and added in an update that if the company doesn't like your review, it won't service your generator.
When we bought our property, it came with a whole house generator. We'd been getting annual maintenance from Dirfy's for the last few years. Last November, the power went out, and the generator failed to switch over and provide power. Dirfy's tried to fix it, but couldn't. Our neighbor suggested Rod's Electric, so we called in March. Kevin came out, and I was very impressed with his debugging. He stepped through possibles, and determined it was the generator control board, which he then replaced. All good! He also showed us how to test power failures at the automatic transfer switch, which we appreciated. Kevin knows his stuff! Also, when I call the office, someone answers, which is much appreciated :-)
Bought a house and Rod's was the name on the list of contractors for the generator so set up a yearly service. Got a young man who was polite but obviously inexperienced. Left the unit with an oil leak so not very happy. Fast forward two years. We experienced a failure with a part on the generator so called around for a replacement and it was like 16k (10k for installation?). Called Rod's and they sent out an experienced individual, very knowledgeable, fixed the part, made some valve adjustments, fixed the oil leak, did the yearly service and the generator runs great. Very happy with service. The price was reasonable at about 350 dollars. Person who answered the phone was polite and professional and the tech showed up in a day. Recommend that if you have new people send an experienced person with them to eliminate the first type of experience. Highly recommend Rod's for professional and fast service.
They always call first! Give us the best service and talk about our annoying dogs lol thank you Rods and Connor!
We called because our generator wasn't working. They came out two days later. Very nice and helpful. He had the generator up and working in know time. Very happy with their work and professionalism.. I will be calling next year for annual service.
Very rude and insulting owner after 12 plus years of servicing our generator.
