Royal Epoxy Floors is a Kingston company that installs epoxy and concrete floor coatings, including reflective basement flooring, and HomeAdvisor's profile describes it as a newer pro there with six years of industry experience (though no reviews have posted on that platform). The two written reviews on file are both serious complaints, and both describe the same pattern: a job quoted at three days running far longer than promised. A 2023 review described a basement reflective-flooring job that stretched from a promised three days to four weeks and was still unfinished when the review was written. A 2024 review described a similar three-day job turning into a thirty-day ordeal, with the homeowner eventually hiring another company to finish the work. Worth knowing: Google's own overall rating for this business is 4.5 stars from 18 ratings, well above what these two written accounts alone would suggest — most of those 18 ratings carry no written review to weigh, so it isn't possible to say how representative the two negative accounts are of the broader base of customers. Given the specific, matching complaints about missed timelines in the reviews on file, and the sizable gap between those accounts and the platform's overall score, it's worth asking directly about current project timelines, getting a firm completion date in writing, and checking recent references before committing to a job here.

We hired this company for a 3 day job and ended up to be a 30 day disaster. We ended going to another company to finish the job.
We do not recommend Royal Epoxy LLC due to our experience. We had agreed with Royal Epoxy LLC to have them install reflective flooring in our basement. We were promised this job to be done within 3 days. Unfortunately 3 days turned in to 4 weeks, we still had an incomplete job, and was told we could not get a full or even a partial refund. There were consistent mistakes made throughout this entire process. They did try to fix it, however they could not get it right. When on our 4th week without a completed floor, we reached out to 'Industrial Floor Effects' and they came that same day, started working and was able to complete the job in 4 days. They were able to fix the mistakes and make it look elegant. There was a completely different professionalism and expertise with this company.
