A countertop that fitted after one measurement drew praise for Rumford Stone in a September 2025 Google review. The customer also said the installers explained the work and how to care for the surface. Other customers have praised the finished stone while describing difficulties getting appointments. Rumford Stone says it sells, templates, fabricates and installs granite, quartz, marble, quartzite and porcelain countertops for kitchens, bathrooms and other living spaces. It describes a showroom and slab yard in Pembroke, New Hampshire, and says it has worked with homeowners and kitchen designers for more than 25 years. Its stated service area includes Manchester, Concord, Nashua, Derry, Rochester and Pembroke, as well as Boston. BBB identifies Vincent Trento as the owner, dates the corporation's start to 1995 and lists an A+ grade and accreditation since 2000. In an April 2025 review, a customer praised the precise measurement and installation of marble counters and an island. A December 2025 reviewer was pleased with the tops and installers after work in two bathrooms and a kitchen with a large island. In March 2023, another customer described an island countertop cut to their dimensions and praised the company's written requirements for access, clear pathways and minimum temperatures. A December 2024 customer said countertop-remnant visits were by appointment; Megan had availability to fit them in when they arrived without one. Scheduling has prompted specific complaints. A March 2026 customer liked the product and installation but said a callback took more than a week, followed by two weeks to a template appointment and another two weeks to installation. They also objected to learning during installation that caulking between a 36-inch vanity and the wall cost extra. In June 2022, a Lowe's stone customer said Rumford pushed their templating date back two months after they had demolished their kitchen and planned other work around the original timing. They described the representative as interrupting them during the resulting phone call. A February 2026 reviewer described a supply-related delay, while saying installation was scheduled as soon as the material arrived. In a November 2023 Reddit thread, one commenter praised a quartz top Rumford had done for them; another advised avoiding Rumford in Bow. Google and Houzz each showed 4.3 stars in August 2026, from 32 and six ratings respectively. Houzz states that the company guarantees its workmanship for as long as the customer owns the home.
