A recent customer says they paid $1,600 in cash to have a cracked, leaning tree cut down and still had to clear away the wood and branches themselves. Segundo and his brother showed up immediately after I called them. The tree was cracked and leaning against another tree. They charged me more than others would have. They took $1,600 in cash. I still had to clear away the wood and branches myself. $1,600 just to cut the tree down. When I told people how much it cos, and what they had done, everyone said I had been overcharged. When I was clearing the wood, I found that many of the pieces hadn't been cut to the agreed-upon 18-inch length. The pergola was damaged, and four concrete blocks were broken. I could have gotten the job done much more cheaply. I certainly won't be calling them again!
This was a great experience from start to finish. It was quite clear when providing my estimate that Segundo was passionate about pleasing his customers and very knowledgeable about the art of tree trimming. His crew arrived on time and efficiently and expertly worked their way through several trees on my property. Gio and Segundo made sure each tree was reduced, trimmed and shaped to my wishes. Tree trimming and pruning is a true skill and these guys have it. I was very happy with the end result and pleased with several little extras they did along the way. When they left, my landscaping looked the same as before they started working. If you are a perfectionist, S&E is definitely who you want shaping, pruning and making your trees looking more beautiful than they were before.
