Salemi Exteriors is a Billerica, Massachusetts roofing and exterior contractor run by Steve Salemi, whose Massachusetts home improvement contractor registration is active. The company's own site says it backs every roof installation with a 10-year workmanship guarantee, and the work reviewers describe most often is exactly that: full roof replacements, along with siding, gutter, and window jobs. The review volume here is unusual for a business this size — 4.9 stars from 100 Google ratings, matched almost exactly on Angi and HomeAdvisor at 4.9 from 19 ratings apiece, and a Better Business Bureau page graded A+. The written record stretches back to 2013, and it holds up over time: in a 2023 review, one homeowner said that three years after Steve's crew replaced his roof, he still hadn't found a single stray nail left in the yard from the cleanup. A 2025 review from a customer who had known Steve personally since buying a home in 2011 described going on to have a detached two-car garage built and re-roofed in a mix of asphalt shingle and rubber roofing — the kind of repeat business that shows up more than once in the record. The recent run is what stands out most, though: 29 reviews in the last six months, none of them negative, with reviewers repeatedly naming Steve and his crew leads Jason and Nick for a clear, no-pressure estimate up front. A few reviews from this past winter also describe same-week ice-dam and snow removal off an existing roof, not just full tear-offs and replacements. The one clear miss in the record is a 2025 review describing a slow response after a job was finished: a small leak from a roof vent surfaced about a week after a Billerica install, and the homeowner says the crew — tied up on a job in Salem — couldn't get back to check it until the end of that week, by which point drywall and flooring needed repair, even though the roof was still under warranty. It's the only negative account in an otherwise long history, but specific enough to ask about directly: what the turnaround looks like on a warranty callback once a job is marked done. For a straightforward re-roof, a siding or gutter job, or emergency ice-dam clearing in a New England winter, Salemi Exteriors has a long, mostly five-star record behind it — just get a clear answer on callback timing before the crew packs up and leaves.
Just hired Salemi Exteriors to do my roof and I extremely happy Jason suggested the black drip edge and it looks great. Neighbors love it too.
We decided to replace the roof as a preventive measure (26 years old) and reached out to a number of companies for advice and estimates. Of all, Salemi stood out from the start. Unlike the others, there was zero sales pressure, no ‘spouse must be present’ tactics, no multiple hours in the house pressuring to ‘sign now’, no intimidation. Jason was 100% professional, prepared, thorough in explanation and education. Within 30 minutes I had an estimate and understood the project. We booked Salemi a few days later. The crew showed up as scheduled, worked efficiently for a couple of days, and did everything we discussed. Nick organized and planned how the crew would execute and monitored to ensure quality. We did a walkthrough afterwards and he pointed out a few items needing attention before I did and had the team back right away to resolve. Replacing a roof can be a stressful and expensive project. Hiring Salemi was a great decision… no stress, reasonable cost, quality work. Highly recommend!
We had our roof replaced along with all new soffits. The whole process was phenomenal. Jason was extremely helpful and knowledgeable in picking out the type and color of the roof along with suggestions for the trim underneath the roof. The roof looks so good! Communication was spot on. Other than taking a short lunch break, the entire crew worked nonstop from the time they arrived until the time they left which was a 10-12 hour day for two days. The crew left our property spotless. They were very thorough with picking up all the debris and any nails. I can’t say enough positive comments about Salemi Roofing. This process was easier than buying a car and dealing with car salespeople! A+😊
Called Jason and got a fast response with the questions I had!
