Sandollar Spa & Pool says on its Houzz profile that it sells, services and installs in-ground and above-ground pools, Finnleo saunas, and Hot Spring and Caldera spas, and that it has served Central and Northern Maine since 1985. A recent customer said Jeff Simons took their pool's dated liner and made the pool current with lighting, a change to saltwater and a new heater. On his advice, that customer added a swim deck and stairs, and they said he helped coordinate the electricians and landscaping needed to complete the project. A recent customer who bought a $20,000 hot tub said it was delivered positioned so the cover opens toward the opposite side of their concrete slab, making it virtually impossible to get in and out safely. When that customer asked where the stairs would go, they were told, "What stairs?" They said the company is now having to rotate the hot tub and that they are paying for another electrician visit to move the electrical connection. We purchased a $20,000 hot tub from Sand Dollar, and when it was delivered, they positioned it so the cover opens toward the opposite side of our concrete slab, making it virtually impossible to safely get in and out of the tub. When I asked, “Where are the stairs going to go?” I was told, “What stairs?” Apparently, they sell and deliver hot tubs without providing any way to get into them. That was certainly not something we expected with a $20,000 purchase. Needless to say, they are now having to rotate the hot tub, and I’m left paying for another electrician visit to move the electrical connection. For that amount of money, I expected much better planning, communication, and installation. The fact that something as basic as access to the hot tub wasn’t considered before delivery is extremely disappointing.

He is so easy to work with, and he really did an amazing job transforming our pool to becoming a focal point for family and friends. On his advice, we added a swim deck and stairs, and the pool is now completely current. He has great artistic vision. He is honest on time and loves what he does. He helped coordinate electricians and landscaping needed to complete the project. Jeff also gave us great recommendations on care and covering the pool.
