Savino Services works out of 300 Andover Street in Peabody, and Porch says it has been at it 21 years. That page carries two very different things at once: a 4.57 average across 132 ratings, and a single written account that reads as a warning. The account, posted in September 2021, is worth reading closely. The homeowner hired the company to paint and repair siding, build a small porch, replace garage doors and gutters, and do masonry around a chimney, stone steps and foundation. Most of the painting was done. The rotted garage doors were painted rather than replaced, gutters went up only across the front of the house, none of the masonry happened, and screw ends were left sticking through the middle of the porch decking. That homeowner also wrote that they had handed over extra cash for claimed overages, and that nine weeks of calls, texts and emails drew a single brief reply. One account from five years ago is not a verdict on a business with 132 ratings behind it. It is, though, the only description anyone has written of what the work was like. If you call, ask for a written scope with dated milestones, tie payments to completed stages, and ask to walk a recent local job before you sign.
Typical Greater Boston range for this kind of work, from regional averages — not a quote from Savino Services. Use it to sanity-check bids, then get the real number in writing.

“We hired Savino Services to paint and fix siding on our home, build a small porch, replace the garage doors”
We hired Savino Services to paint and fix siding on our home, build a small porch, replace the garage doors, replace our gutters, and do some masonry work around our chimney, stone steps and foundation. While most of the painting has been done, nothing else has been completed. Only the front of our. House has gutters. He painted our rotted garage doors but never replaced them. None of the masonry has been done. And the decking on the porch has screw ends dangerously sticking through the decking in the middle of the porch. And we had even provided him with an influx of cash for overages he claimed. He has not returned our calls, texts on emails in 9 weeks except for one brief conversation where he claimed he hadn’t seen our emails. DO NOT HIRE this company. Mr. Savino owes us the completion of these jobs or quite a bit of money—it exceeds the limit of small claims court. If he completes the work, we will happily write a new review to reflect this.
