What customers keep singling out about Toro Construction is a document. A November 2024 homeowner collected three quotes for a full bathroom renovation in Woburn; Toro's ran four pages, laying out each stage of the job in order. A December 2025 client on a large remodel said the same thing — everything broken out so it could actually be read. A February 2025 reviewer put it plainly: not the cheapest, not the most expensive, and spot on with both the estimate and the schedule. Rob Toro runs the company, and Kelly, who handles client communication, gets named nearly as often as he does. Its Massachusetts home improvement contractor registration is active on the state registry. Across 143 Google ratings the average is 4.9, with 124 written reviews going back to 2021. Bathrooms are the volume work. Reviewers describe a bathroom last touched around 1969 in a nearly century-old house redone in March 2026; a small bath expanded in October 2025 into an ensuite and a proper guest bath by taking space from two bedrooms; three bathrooms done at once in June 2025; a layout reworked in February 2025 to double the size of the room. Kitchens are a close second — one taken down to the studs in a 100-plus-year-old house in September 2023, and an extension in December 2024 that started at the foundation. The bigger structural jobs are there too: a second-story addition that a January 2025 reviewer said finished ahead of expectations, and two closets turned into a laundry room in October 2024. Subcontractors come up constantly, and unusually they come up as part of the praise — cabinet, stone, electrical, plumbing and plastering crews named by homeowners as reasons the job went well. Two of the five-star reviews are from trade companies that work under Toro rather than from customers. The one dissenting account, from September 2023, is about the front of the process rather than the work. That customer says Rob Toro would not quote a proposed sunroom addition without design plans, that they paid $1,100 for hand-drawn plans through his designer, that a late-April meeting was a no-show, and that no estimate ever arrived. For a bathroom or kitchen renovation in an older house — the kind where the layout has to change and five trades have to be sequenced — this is a well-documented outfit with a live registration and a long, consistent history. Get the written quote before any money moves, design work included, and pin down what that fee buys and when the estimate follows it.

We recently used Toro Construction for our kitchen renovation, and they did a fantastic job. From start to finish they were hands-on, professional and in constant communication. They showed up daily on time and cleaned up after they were done for the day. Overall, a very smooth experience and the finished product came out just how I imagined it would. From top to bottom just a great company and great experience when working with Rob, any of his staff including Kelly and Tiara, as they were always quick to return my email or phone call if I had any questions. I would definitely recommend Toro Construction to anyone looking to do any home renovations. I will definitely be using them again for my next project.

Toro Construction is a phenomenal, and dependable company. The office staff is always friendly, and responsive. The guys and subs that are onsite are also very knowledgeable & respectful. It’s refreshing to know and work with a company that values clear communication just as much as quality workmanship. I would definitely recommend them to anyone looking for a reliable and family owned construction company.

Fantastic experience working with Toro! Rob and the entire crew were great to work with from start to finish. Initial quote was thorough and detailed, and the overall project timeline estimate was right on target! Everyone - and I mean everyone - was great to work with. That includes Rob himself, the employees doing the work, all of the subs (tile, flooring, HVAC, plaster, electrical, plumbing) and of course Tiara and Kelly. Kelly (office manager) kept me informed every step of the way, and was always super responsive if I had any questions about what was coming up, timing of things, or handling any little issue that might have popped up. In the end, it was outstanding craftsmanship and finished product. And everyone that was here doing the work, was pleasant to work with and they always took the time to answer my questions. I really could not be happier with the work that was done, and the overall experience working with Toro. The scope of my project included: total kitchen renovation (walls taken down, relocation of some plumbing/electrical/hvac), new hardwood flooring / appliances / cabinets / counter / backsplash / lighting, installation of a new island); one full bathroom renovation (tub conversion to walk-in shower, tile, vanity, under-floor heating, lighting); another partial bathroom remodel; all new interior doors; new staircase railings / posts / balusters; and a few other odds and ends. I highly recommend Toro - just a great company and set of people to work with.
