Shamrock Maintenance Corp., which trades as Shamrock Chimney, describes itself on Angi and HomeAdvisor as a chimney company that keeps chimneys clean and safe and fixes leaking chimneys and flues. The services it lists there include chimney and stove cleaning and inspection, brick and stone tuck-pointing, wall repair and fireplace installation. It holds 4.0 stars from 721 ratings on Angi, where 66% of ratings are 5 stars and 14% are 1 star. The Angi reviews from 2024 to 2026 split sharply. A June 2024 reviewer said the crew re-pointed, capped and sealed two chimneys in terrible shape in about 5hrs, with a 10 yr warranty. An April 2024 customer said Joe came within 2 days to clean and inspect the flues, installed a chimney cap and sent before and after pictures. A March 2026 reviewer said the company diagnosed a chimney problem quickly and explained the repair options. The complaints describe repairs that failed and calls that went unanswered. An April 2024 reviewer said a chimney leak quoted at $900 with a lifetime warranty still lets water in, and the company does not call back. In a September 2024 review, a customer said the fireplace filled with smoke the day after a cleaning because the damper was stuck with debris, and the company offered a visit 6 days later. A March 2025 reviewer said the company took payment, cancelled three times on a return visit to fix sloppy work, and stopped answering calls and email. A September 2026 customer said the company cancelled an appointment 30 minutes before it was due and then ran late on the rescheduled date. An April 2024 reviewer said the work left damage to the attic that the company will not admit.
Don't waste your time. They cancelled my first appointment 30 minutes before they were scheduled to arrive. I understand that things happen so I rescheduled, they didn't have any openings for 2 weeks, so I rescheduled 2 weeks out. Once again, day of they tell me they are running late for the time slot 12-3pm. At 3:30pm I check in and they can't tell me when the technician will be arriving. 4pm comes and goes without an update and I told them I'm hiring someone else. Ridiculous how many emails, texts and calls they send you trying to get your business but once you schedule with them the customer service is terrible. All they are trying to do is keep business away from competitors by overbooking beyond what they can handle. This company is a joke.

Clean and Inspect an oil-fired chimneyThey were very professional and efficient in completing the job in a cost effective manner.
Shamrock Chimney completed a repair on our chimney and the whole experience was excellent. They diagnosed the problem quickly, explained the repair options, and completed the work efficiently. The crew was friendly, knowledgeable, and respectful of our home. Everything was left clean when they finished. Highly recommend their services.
Clean and Inspect an oil-fired chimney$650 The BBB rating for Shamrock is "F" which is their lowest rating; businesses with "F" ratings have unanswered or unresolved complaints that reflects a failure by the business (Shamrock) to deal with the causes of customer problems. I contacted the MA District Attorney's office who put me in touch with consumer advocate Deb Henderson to resolve my issue with Shamrock. She said that she spoke to the owner Carmelo Franco about my issue and said that Franco is uncooperative, therefore we are unable to proceed. I sued Carmelo Franco in Attleboro District Court for negligent work that had to be fixed by another company ($650.00), however the subpoena could not be delivered to the address the DA's office gave me, so the court dropped the lawsuit. You need the correct address of the defendant in order for the court to compel him to come to court, so Carmelo Franco is just a ghost that you will never be reimbursed by. Franco's Shamrock Chimney is a scam. Bruce Smith, Attleboro MA
