It's a one-person consultancy in Winthrop that sits on the homeowner's side of a build — Fred Gutierrez acts as the owner's representative, helping pick the property, running or coordinating the design, pulling the permits, hiring the builder and managing the job through to the end. Gutierrez says he is a licensed Massachusetts architect with a Master of Architecture from MIT and more than 35 years across institutional and residential architecture, construction and project management, and lists LEED accreditation and Lean Construction training. That is his own account of himself, given on the company's site — the architect's licence is a self-reported claim, not one confirmed against the state registry here. This is the outfit to call if you're planning a large renovation or a custom home and want someone experienced watching the contract, the schedule and the drawings on your behalf — not the outfit to call for the construction itself.
