Silver Lake Iron Works describes itself as a shop of custom metal smith artisans, and its website says it has been in business 61 years. The company says it can provide photos or drawings to work from, or a customer may bring conceptual ideas and style preferences it can use to design a one-of-a-kind piece. Its Houzz profile lists fencing and gate sales and construction. A 2025 Google customer had them build a railing for inside the house right before selling it, and said it fit perfectly and became a feature in the look of the room. That 2025 customer called the price fair and said they were easy to deal with. A 2022 customer had a railing built and installed and said the owner helped find a design they liked. The 2022 customer also described the price as reasonable and the communication as good.
Right before we sold the house we had them build a railing for inside. It fit perfectly and became a feature in the look of the room. People commented on it often. Price was fair and they are easy to deal with. Hoping to have them make us something for the new place.
I had a railing built and installed. Reasonable price, good communication, owner helped me find a design that I liked. Railing looks lovely.
