Simon Lawn Care is a landscaping and lawn-care company that Better Business Bureau records place in Newton Highlands, Massachusetts, while its Angi profile lists a Boston address and 18 years of experience — worth confirming which is current when you reach out. The company's own listed services run from routine lawn mowing and aeration through seasonal cleanups, fertilization, garden and landscape design, and hardscaping work like stone, brick, and stamped-concrete walkways and driveways. Its written history is older: every review on file dates from 2014 to 2015, so nothing here speaks to how the company operates today. In that window, several homeowners were pleased with the actual lawn work — one 2014 review credited the crew with finally getting aeration and seeding to take after earlier attempts had failed, and another called the team thoughtful, responsive about pet-friendly treatment, and easy to work with on scheduling. A third reviewer that year said a scheduling mix-up was still handled with a neat, careful finish. Other 2014 and 2015 reviewers described a rougher experience on the business side: several said charges ran well above the coupon price that brought them in, and a handful said a soil test or fertilizer treatment they were promised never got followed up on, with one waiting weeks to hear back. The complaints cluster around billing surprises and follow-through rather than the quality of the yard work itself. Current numbers tell a steadier story: Angi shows a 4.1-star average across 53 ratings, and the Better Business Bureau gives the company an A+ grade, though it isn't BBB-accredited. Since the written reviews on file predate both of those figures by roughly a decade, ask directly about current pricing on any promotional deal, and get the scope of a soil test or treatment plan spelled out before work starts — that's exactly where the older reviews said things went sideways.

It was adequate. It was just fine. We paid some extra for some mulch that was in addition to the what was done.
Poor - Clearly overwhelmed / not prepared for the response they received from the deal they offered on Angie's List. I received soil test but never got the fertilizer treatment.
They sent me the report. I don't think we ever did anything about that though. I would go with someone else that can do the work for not as much money. If someone wants to find out about their soil, it's worth it.
His workers are excellent. I probably won't use them again. I think they're over priced. They used the coupon and then they charged me about another $300 more. I'm still getting the bills. I just got the bill the other day.
They were very responsive. They really know lawn care. My lawn has never looked so good. Previous aeration and seeding treatments had failed, but their's worked.
