Southcoast Kitchen Designs runs two showrooms, one in Carver and one in Sandwich, and the pattern in its reviews is less about swinging a hammer and more about who greets you at the design table — Natasha, Kaylee, Renee, Omar, and Renan all get called out by name for walking homeowners through cabinet doors, countertop slabs, and layout decisions. The company's LinkedIn page dates it to 2005, and its BBB file independently puts it at 21 years in business, so the two line up; it's also listed as a member of the Carver Chamber of Commerce. The last six months brought seven reviews, and most of them read the same way: a named designer helped pick materials, communicated clearly, and at least one client liked the outcome enough to hire the firm again for a second project. One review from this spring describes a full remodel of an entire floor — kitchen, flooring, and bathroom together — finished on a schedule the client says was mapped out step by step. Older reviews going back to 2020 tell a similar story, and the shop's Google rating sits at 4.8 from 18 ratings, with Houzz separately showing 5.0 from 14. It has also picked up real industry recognition along the way: a 2016 PRISM Gold award for its showroom and a 2015 PRISM Silver for a kitchen remodel under $125,000, plus Best of Houzz honors in 2014 and 2015. Not everything in the last six months was smooth. One June review describes trim on a second-floor job that didn't line up and calls it the worst experience the customer has had with a contractor — a specific, work-related complaint rather than a vague gripe, and worth asking about directly: how punch-list items like trim and finish carpentry get resolved before final payment. Its BBB listing carries an A+ grade, though the business hasn't sought BBB accreditation, and no complaint history is shown there. On Angi, the one review actually tied to this business — as opposed to the nearby competitors that also populate that same directory page — is from a homeowner who came back for a second project. Southcoast reads best as a fit for someone who wants a guided, in-showroom selection process for a kitchen or combined kitchen-and-bath remodel rather than a bare installation job — and given the one recent complaint, it's worth confirming upfront which designer you'll be assigned and how trim and finish details get signed off before the crew leaves.

We had an amazing experience with Southcoast Kitchen Designs. From start to finish, they made the entire process smooth and seamless. For our first project, Natasha helped us with selection, design, and materials. We were so happy with the final product that we decided to use SKD to complete another remodeling project. Doing a complete kitchen and powder bath remodel seemed daunting, but the team made it as stress free as possible and handled every last detail each step of the way. Natasha guided us through the selection and design process and continued to check in as the project progressed. Mark and Vince are a superb team, and were there to answer any questions and tackle any issues that came up throughout the process. They went above and beyond, even coming back after the job was complete to help us with a seperate house issue that was unrelated to their work. We cannot thank the entire team enough for their professionalism, thoroughness, and attention to detail. We are thrilled with the outcome and highly recommend Southcoast Kitchen Designs.
