Southern Maine Electric Inc.

Everyone was top-notch! They came out, gave me a reasonable quote for the work I needed, were here on time, very professional crew, and done in a few hours! Southern Maine Electric Inc. has all of my electrical business!

Southern Electric was incredibly professional and clearly takes pride in their craftsmanship. They made sure the workspaces were cleaned thoroughly, addressed any issues as soon as they were identified, and truly went above and beyond to make sure everything looked perfect. They even took the extra time to make sure everything was level on the walls (which I really appreciated!). It’s obvious they care about the quality of their work and the final result. I couldn’t be happier with how everything turned out and would absolutely recommend Southern Electric to anyone looking for high-quality, detail-oriented electrical work.

This is simply a great company to work with. I made a spur-of-the-moment decision to purchase a hot tub and called around to see if anyone could handle the electrical work. I reached out to Southern Maine Electric, and they were able to get over in a few days. Ryan and Lucas figured out exactly what I needed and got it done. My electrical panel is not in an ideal place, a finished basement, but they made quick and clean work of it. Very happy I connected with them and will be reaching out to them next time I need any electrical work!

Absolutely thrilled with my experience with Southern Maine Electric, especially working with Daryn and Christy! Daryn is not only incredibly knowledgeable, but also one of the kindest and most professional electricians I’ve ever worked with. He recently installed an EV charging station at my home and wired a heater for my pool. When he first came to assess the pool heater, he immediately noticed it was placed incorrectly and explained everything clearly. As soon as we repositioned it, true to his word, he came back the very next day and completed the job. His attention to detail and reliability are truly exceptional—he really goes above and beyond. Christy is equally fantastic—so warm, responsive, and helpful. She made the scheduling process easy and stress-free, and it’s clear she genuinely cares about their customers. Together, Daryn and Christy are a dream team, and I can honestly say they’re the only people I’ll ever call for anything electrical. I already have my next project in mind and wouldn’t trust anyone else to handle it. Thank you both so much!

Southern Maine Electric Inc. did extensive electrical work for my daughter's home in Portland, ME. The home -- built in 1930 - needed outlets brought up to code, rewiring of the basement that previously did not work, and installation of two Google cameras/lights for the exterior. Daryn (the owner), Luke, and Ryan were all professional and respectful at all times. Christy runs the office and communicated well. We received quotes, which were fair (meaning "good"). It really is hard to find good professionals these days. We will keep this company on our Rolodex, for sure!
