A recent Angi customer said Jacob was reliable, completed the job as promised and charged a fair rate for Spartan Roofing's work. On Thumbtack, the company describes itself as a family-owned business operating since 2006. In a 2024 Thumbtack review, a customer said Jacob gave a free estimate on replacing the roof, sent pictures of the roof throughout and handled all permits and inspections. A 2024 customer wrote that the company fixed their roof in one day. A 2025 Angi customer who said they live out of state and have a house in CT called Spartan Roofing to seal the roof and add vent coverings. That 2025 customer said Jacob told them of other issues causing leaks and repaired those at the same time. A 2024 customer said Jacob sealed their driveway, and that they then hired him to paint their house and deck. In a 2025 Angi review, a customer said a roof repair did not resolve the problem and made it worse. That 2025 customer described playing phone tag with Jacob for over a month on a remediation plan, with no crew showing up to fix the problem. Connecticut lists its home improvement contractor registration, HIC.0667815, as active, held by SPARTAN ROOFING.
Jacob was reliable and completed the job as promised. He charged a fair rate for the work as well!
Roof repair did not resolve the problem, actually made it worse. Visual inspection of the work right after job finished showed a concerning area (photo 2) Playing phone tag and waiting game with Jacob for over a month on remediation plan and date. Jacob is saying all the right things but not showing up with a crew to fix the problem. Would happily give a positive review if the leaks (photo 1) were fixed. Remaining interior work is at full stop waiting for Spartan Roofing to fix the problem.
I live out of state and have a house in CT. My insurance company informed me that my roof needed an update seal. I called Spartan Roofing for sealing my roof and adding some vent coverings blown away over the winter. Jacob returned my call promptly and we were able to work out the project over the phone. He informed me of other issues that were causing leaks and he was able to repair those at the same time. I was able to use Zelle to make the payment. I would highly recommend Spartan Roofing to anyone. Jacob is thoughtful and I believe trustworthy.
Jacob did a great job sealing my driveway. Because he was professional and helpful, we hired him to paint our house and deck as well. He gave us a good price and did a great job. I?d recommend him to work with.
Very happy with the work that was done. Came out quickly and got the job done fast. Very professional and gave me a great price
