Spectrum Builders describes its portfolio on Houzz as commercial and residential construction, from jobs of a few hundred dollars to multi-million dollar projects, including renovations of 200 year old antique homes that required complete demolition and reconstruction. In 2024, a Google reviewer wrote "Master carpenter and reliable contractor" and recommended the company. A 2024 Google customer gave one star and said several parts of an $85,000 renovation were botched. That 2024 customer said an AC installation exposed the home to carbon monoxide, and listed defective workmanship and no permits among the problems. The same 2024 customer said the contractor damaged the house, at a cost of thousands of dollars. Connecticut lists its home improvement contractor registration, HIC.0547664, as expired, held by Spectrum Builders.
