Thirteen reviews since 2022, every one of them five stars, and nearly all about the same job: painting kitchen cabinets instead of replacing them. Spectrum WallCo Painting works out of 54 Longwood Drive in Lunenburg and says it covers Leominster and the surrounding towns. Massachusetts' contractor registry lists its Home Improvement Contractor registration, 184452, as active through January 2028, with Lawrence Blanchard as the responsible person. The Better Business Bureau has accredited the business since June 2020 and grades it A+, recording it as an LLC started in 2015 with Larry Blanchard as owner. Two names run through the reviews — Larry and Matt — and customers describe them doing the work themselves. The method is the thing customers keep explaining back. In a March 2026 review, a homeowner wrote that Larry laid out the process in detail and that their system let the family keep using the kitchen for the duration, with Matt doing the prep and painting. A January 2026 customer described the split directly: Matt on site painting and making carpentry upgrades to the cabinet boxes and island while Larry sanded, filled, primed and painted the doors back at the shop. The praise is consistently about preparation rather than speed. A 2026 customer said the cabinets did not just look freshly painted but upgraded, because of the prep and the materials. In a 2022 review, a homeowner with dated maple cabinets reported no drips or streaking and said they had held up and cleaned easily months later. A 2023 customer credited Larry with sourcing an exact Benjamin Moore match for the trim elsewhere in the house, and said friends assumed the cabinets were new. The work is not only cabinets: reviewers describe interior walls, ceilings and trim on a full renovation in 2025, and in 2023, pull-out shelves and wainscoting installed alongside the refinishing. One thing worth asking about is how long they have been at it. The company's directory blurb says it has painted the Leominster area since 1992, while BBB dates the business to 2015 — a gap worth clearing up if tenure matters to you. For dated-but-sound kitchen cabinets in north-central Massachusetts, this is a two-person shop with a specific, well-described process, a current state registration, and an unbroken run of detailed five-star accounts.
Spectrum Painting did a beautiful job painting our previously stained out of date kitchen cabinets. Their communication with me was excellent, no last minute surprises or cancellations, and they were a pleasure to deal with. Very friendly to both our kids and our dog which made it so easy to have them working in our home. Would definitely recommend them and would love to use them for future projects.
We engaged Spectrum Wallco Painting to paint all of our kitchen and bathroom cabinets. Larry explained the process in detail. Their system allowed us to retain use of our kitchen throughout the duration of the project. Matt did all the prep work and painting. He is a very meticulous worker. In the end, not only were the cabinets freshly painted, but they looked upgraded due to all the prep work and the quality of materials used. Spectrum Wallco is an excellent company. We are very glad that we found them and give our highest recommendation. Mark & Lesley Princeton, MA
We chose Spectrum Wall Co painting because of all the wonderful, raving reviews we read on their web site, and boy, they did not disappoint! On a project level, Larry and Matty are very knowledgeable, highly skilled in their profession, and are very meticulous and detail oriented. While Matty was at our home painting and making carpentry upgrades to the cabinet boxes and island, Larry was back at the shop sanding, filling and applying primer and paint to the doors! Both took the time to make the end result exactly what we were looking for! Their patience for, and understanding of what we wanted was highly appreciated! When the first coat of paint went on the boxes and we were not happy with the color we chose, Larry and Matty were happy to pause the job, and brought in a colorist to help us make a better choice of color. Larry’s expertise in cabinet painting, and Marty’s expertise in carpentry definitely made for the best possible outcome for our project! On a personal level, Matty and Larry are friendly, polite, trustworthy, easy to talk with, and respectful. Their willingness to spend time with us as customers was definitely something we appreciated and valued! They genuinely care about making their customers happy and are very committed to doing so! We highly recommend this team for any and all your painting and carpentry needs!
I’m so glad we found Spectrum WallCo Painting! Larry and Matt were so easy to work with. We hired them originally to paint all the interior walls and ceilings of a complete renovation and I had planned on painting all the trim. Because they were so easy to work with, so professional and did such a great job, it only made sense to have them come back and paint the trim. I’m so happy with the completed work. I’ve always done all the interior painting at home and I’m a perfectionist. I have no regrets handing over the job to Larry and Matt! Bonus….Larry is a wealth of painting knowledge and very willing to share! Thank you both
They did a wonderful job in my kitchen. They were very pleasant to work with. My dog loved them too. We will be calling on them for any work we need done in the future. Larry and Matt your the greatest.
