A homeowner writing in April 2026 had them assemble a TV stand and clean the gutters. In a 2025 review, a customer described John replacing the stairs to a second-story deck and calling ahead when weather pushed the schedule; another 2025 review described a deck facelift that started as new railings and stairs and grew to include repairing the existing framing. A 2025 reviewer called a complete bathroom remodel "communicative, honest, quick," and a 2023 customer credited a pre-purchase walkthrough with catching things they wouldn't have thought to look for. The recurring note is restraint about selling work. In a 2022 review, a repeat customer said they'd been pointed to other trades better suited to a job and told plainly when something didn't need work to meet code. A 2025 reviewer said Joeci spent her time routing them to a plumber on a project that would never have earned her anything. Google shows 4.7 across 26 ratings. The thing to settle before booking: the Massachusetts home improvement contractor registration in the company's name, #208420, is expired in the state registry. BuildZoom's profile puts the expiration at 24 April 2025 and reports the status was at one point cancelled, which is also why it scores the company at zero. Deck rebuilds, basement finishing and bathroom remodels are the work that registration covers, so ask where it stands before signing anything. One older complaint runs in a similar direction: in a 2022 one-star review, a homeowner said three phone calls and three emails over three weeks went unanswered. For small-to-mid projects around Lunenburg — a deck, gutters, carpentry, a bathroom — the history here is longer and steadier than most, and the praise is unusually specific about scheduling and being told the truth about scope. Confirm the registration is current, get the scope in writing, and judge the rest on the estimate.
