Spinosa Construction and Maintenance is a Tewksbury general contractor that, by its own account, has been running since 1999 under owner-operator Brad Spinosa — a builder the company's site says started in the trades at 16 and also works as an approved building inspector. It presents itself as a one-stop residential and commercial shop: construction, remodeling and additions, plus in-house trade work spanning plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry and flooring. Its Houzz listing rounds that out with accessory dwelling units, home additions and basement remodeling. The clearest outside signal is a single first-hand account. In September 2025 a Somerville homeowner wrote that Spinosa had remodeled their kitchen, called the job a 10/10, and said the work was licensed and permitted — adding that the owner grew up in Somerville and knew how to navigate the permitting process. Permit fluency is a real advantage on a kitchen gut in a dense city, but this is one voice, not a pattern. Everything else on record comes from the company or from directory listings: self-reported OSHA 10 and NFI credentials, membership in the Greater Salem Contractors Association, and a Houzz profile that carries no customer reviews. The company states it covers Tewksbury, Wilmington, Medford and Somerville. They are a reasonable call for a Greater Boston kitchen or whole-house remodel where pulling permits cleanly matters, especially if you want one firm coordinating the trades. Treat the tenure and credentials as the company's own claims until you see paperwork: ask for the licence and insurance certificates, and for references on a project the size of yours.
