One customer got a third quote from Chris after two other companies said the whole door and tracks needed replacing for roughly $3000; Chris tightened the springs in 15 minutes for $100 and had the door working again. A customer who put in a request to fix a broken spring said they came within the hour, gave the lowest quote and made the repair on the spot. Chris showed up 10 minutes early for a customer whose 6-month-old opener another company had failed to fix after three no-call no-shows, and charged $49. One customer hired Chris mainly because he came out to do the estimate himself, and said he showed a sample of the material he was going to install. A 2026 customer said Chris replaced two 30-year-old garage door openers on standard 7-foot doors and, after a discussion of the options, the customer chose an upgrade to a torsion spring system; that customer said Chris didn't try to oversell the top-tier option. A 2026 customer said Chris presented replacement door options with a photo projection simulation of their garage showing how the styles and color would look installed. A 2025 customer who had just bought a house said Chris reached out on a Sunday after they looked at garage doors on Facebook, came by Monday morning at exactly the time he said, and came back with an assistant the following Sunday to install the new door. Connecticut lists its home improvement contractor registration, HIC.0702770, as active, held by Spring King Garage Doors LLC.
Chris did exceptional work to complete the installation accurately and on time. He also demonstrated great follow-up regarding producing quotes as well as in post repair service.
Chris was absolutely amazing! He made the process as easy as humanly possible from the very beginning. His work is impeccable, and very reasonably priced. I’d hire him again in an instant and would highly recommend him to anyone looking for an honest, timely, and seamless process. 5 stars! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Spring King Garage Doors did a great job. Amazing response from the initial call until job completion. I would use again but hope I never have to 😂. Definitely recommend!
Chris came to my house first service call. He was prompt and knowledgeable. He bent over backwards to explain everything to me in detail. He was great!!!
Chris showed up 10 minutes early…that in itself was remarkable for a contractor. Friendly, courteous and in a good mood!!! I walked him through my problem and after listening he tried a few things. The opener was 6 mos old and the other company was a no call no show 3 times to fix it… do not use Ben from another local Essex area!!!!!!!! I had to leave but when I returned my wife told me he only charged 49.00 which told me how honest he is..100% recommend him to anyone especially here on the shoreline!!!! Thank you Chris
