Standish Oil

Very happy with oil prices and service. Christie was extremely helpful and Jim did a good job with service. If you haven't used there services recently, please try them again. I did and am extremely happy to use them again. You wont be disappointed.

My mother has been a customer for well over 15 years with Standish oil. A very faithful customer. I called to have our heating system repaired due to water leaking. The office was not open at the time so I left a message with the answering service and was told I would receive a call back. I missed the call due my sick child but called back in under a minute. I first talked to the receptionist who put me on hold. Then some guy, I believe jack, started yelling and swearing before I could even speak. My husband took over the conversation when he notice that I was in tears. He was trying to stay as calm as possible. The guy made it completely impossible to talk to. The conversation ended badly. I can not believe the way they speak at customers. They will not be in business much longer if they deal with paying customers this way. Good luck to anyone working for or dealing with jack at Standish oil.

13 year customer gets hassled in the morning looking for delivery. Old person Jack so incompetent doesn't know or care that I'm existing customer. Starts asking me if I live in a mobile home and other stupid questions. Finally after some more discussion he agrees to send 150 gallons. Get home at 6, no oil. Call back, again basically , same guy says who the hell are you . I restate who I am and that I was promised the oil, but he says you need to fill the tank or forget it. I say that's not what you said this morning. Jack states well that was this morning. Nice huh? Again bear in mind 13 year customer . I said I'm leavin and he said fine. Nice service, this old clown will never get another dime from me and I advise everyone to stay away. Who needs to be yelled at and treated like crap, especially at their prices. I'll tell everyone to stay away from this company.

This company is so unprofessional. I use to be on automatic fill but I ran out. When I called the older gentlemen berated me like I was child yelling at me before he even understood that I was automatic fill. They said their was confusion. I went back to them because I am loyal. Again about a year later I ran out again and I called again only to get yelled at some more. I stopped using them. I called them and told them to not fill my tank anymore and stop hitting my credit card. Four months later, after using a much more professional company they just randomly stopped by and filled my tank. When I called today to ask them not to do that and why did they do it, she said it was because I was back and forth so much.....unbelievable. I feel bad for small business and that is why I tried to stay there but I have never been yelled at by a company and you wouldnt believe what this man said to me when I called to say the house was 50 degrees and I was on automatic fill. Very unprofessional business.

I would not buy an ounce of oil from Standish Oil Co. in Middleboro, MA if I were freezing to death after the treatment I got from Lisa over the phone today. I wanted to top off my oil tank and didn't know how much oil it would take so I ordered oil at a price quoted to me for a minimum of 100 gallons (which I later found out was very high to begin with). The next day 139 gallons of oil was delivered at a higher price. When I called and spoke to Lisa she lied to me and said that the price quoted was for a minimum of 150 gallons (obviously to try and gouge me). I then asked her about the disclaimer on the bottom of the delivery slip that states 5 cents off per gallon if paid within so many days. She told me that only applied if you bought 150 gallons (another lie). She then argued with me and told me that Standish Oil "DOES NOT CATER TO PEOPLE WHO JUST CALL IN" I then informed her that I have done business with them before. She then started to insult me as if I was just someone below her and an arguement began with me telling her I will pay the bill but at the discount offered on the slip and that it would be the last time I did business with them, to which she responded "GOOD, I HOPE SO". I don't know if she is an owner or just some frustrated clerk, but if that's how they treat their customers (particularly in the town in which they do business) then I hope they go down the toilet real soon and nobody will miss them. GREAT WAY TO TREAT THE CONSUMER STANDISH OIL!!! And Lisa, you should start the new year with classes on good customer service or find an occupation where you don't have to deal with the public because it's obvious you are not suited to your current job.
