State Floors, a Cranston, RI flooring contractor, keeps drawing the same kind of praise across its Thumbtack reviews: a smooth, communicative process from the first estimate through the finished job. It handles hardwood, carpet, rug, LVP and resilient flooring installation and cleaning for homeowners and investors across Rhode Island. On Thumbtack it holds a 4.7-star average across 42 ratings, with 91% five-star. The detailed reviews from this year back that up: a stair-runner customer called it "honestly such an easy experience" from estimate to install and said they'd use State Floors for all their flooring going forward, and an investor client praised the team as communicative and easy to work with while staying inside a set budget. One hardwood job in a condo needed a touch-up for a damaged spot in the living room; the crew came back the next day and put down a fresh coat. A rug customer also singled out the trim work on an area rug's pad as "a perfect job." State Floors names Cranston, Barrington, East Greenwich, Newport, Providence, Jamestown and North Kingstown as the towns it serves. Thumbtack also lists a Rhode Island contractor license for the company — that's the directory's own listing, not a state registry check — and about 7% of its 42 Thumbtack ratings come in at one star. A straightforward call for a hardwood, carpet, or rug job in the Cranston area — confirm the job address falls inside the towns above, and ask what a return visit looks like if a spot needs a second pass.
State Floors did all the hardwood floors in my condo, but a spot in the living room was damaged by the previous owners. State Floors came out the day after I called them and did a second coat on that spot. It looks wonderful now. State Floors customer service is top notch! I whole heartedly recommend them.
Many years ago we purchased a beautiful Berber are rid from state floor . As happens with area rugs they often move on the pad . We needed the edge of the pad trimmed back so it was hidden under the edge of the rug , Arthur did a perfect job of trimming the pad back , it looks very neat state floor is in my neighborhood and has always been my go to business for flooring needs . Great customer service on their product that was purchased from them about 40 years ago ! Talk about standing standing upon and behind their productsa . Customer service not beat by anyone!
The team was communicative and professional. As an investor, they were extremely easy to work with and provided options to fit the budget I had.
