Scott and his crew did a great job, and we highly recommend them. They installed hardwood and LVP flooring throughout our new home, and the results look great. And Scott was great to work with, providing helpful suggestions along the way. We would definitely hire him again.
Our experience began with the initial quote, where Scott went above and beyond by taking detailed pictures and writing up exactly what was necessary to repair our scratched floors to help with our insurance claim. Out of the four quotes we received, his was by far the most reasonable. Plus, he offered professional suggestions to enhance the overall appearance of the floors. The crew did a flawless job on the repairs. They even exceeded our expectations by carefully moving all of our furniture—which included heavy, fragile antique pieces—out of the way and putting everything perfectly back in place when they were done. I highly recommend Tamas and Sons for their top-tier craftsmanship, professionalism, and outstanding customer service!
I needed existing hardwood floors refinished, as well as stinky old carpet ripped out of 3 bedrooms with matching hardwoods installed. Scott and the other guys who worked on my house did an amazing job!! They answered every question, were super responsive to texts, and were SO friendly and kind. I really enjoyed working with them, and my new floors are so gorgeous, totally worth the price (which was less than I expected??)
Tamas & Son did an incredible job at our newly purchased home. We had 2 hardwood floor specialists bid on our project. Scott stated the current floors were white oak while the other bidder stated the floors were red oak. To alleviate our concerns Scott came out to the house, sanded a large square of the floor. He brought several samples of unfinished red and white oak boards. Together we determined the flooring is white oak. The house had 3 different tones of white oak floor. In addition, we had the tile floors in the foyer and kitchen removed and new white oak flooring installed. Our goal was to get all of the floors to a similar tone. This required additional sanding to achieve. Scott finished the floors with 3 coats of Bona HD High Traffic Matte clear coat. It is impossible to determine where the new floors meet the old. The floors are gorgeous. Scott and his crew are true professionals. They showed up on time and worked extra hours to get the job done. Do not hesitate to contact Tamas & Son for any wood floor work you need done.
We gave Scott a difficult job to do in our 100 year old Condo in Newport. He had to rip out some of the existing laminate flooring and put in new wide plank White Oak with a white stain. We gave him a picture of the color we were looking to achieve. He knocked it out of the park and it looks wonderful. I highly recommend his company.
