By far the best contractors I've ever worked with! On time , on budget, clean work area, very competent workers , great communication about what's going on and just super easy to work with. They really know there stuff and take great pride in their work. I will always call them first for more work. I am very pleased with how my barn raising turned out, actually better than I expected! I needed to get out of the flood plain and keep my equipment safe, they delivered!
These are the contractors you want and are hoping to find!! Tom Ahern, Gary, Aiden and crew are fantastic. Great work product. Answers to all questions. Love their jobs and enjoy talking with people. Our 1810 farmhouse and barn are works in progress. Steppingstones rebuilt the center chimney in the farmhouse from the attic roof up, repaired the large colonial fireplace in the kitchen, repointed the stone foundation in the cellar on all sides, and rebuilt a retaining wall and part of the foundation on the back of the banked barn. I love their work and am impressed with how clean they left all their work spaces. My husband is jealous about all the good things I say about these guys. Go hire them now! You will be very happy you did. - lulu pickering, Newington
I have slowly been restoring my circa 1740s Cape home and had to deal with my massive center chimney that services five fireplaces. Initially, I thought it could be pointed but after an inspection, it was pretty clear it needed to be taken down to the roof and rebuilt. I wanted a restoration masons and Steppingstones was recommended. They came and gave me a detailed estimate. They are busy so we needed to wait awhile but got to us in the timeframe they suggested. The whole crew did a fantastic job, highly professional and great to work with. If I need a mason...I'll call Stepping Stone.
I want to send a massive shout-out to Steppingstones Masonry for their prompt response! A brick fell from the top corner of my building on Saturday evening. Fortunately, no one was hurt. I reached out to the owner of Steppingstones, Tom Ahern, the same night. I never worked with this company and honestly I never expected a call back. I heard back the same evening! He was able to get the permits and staging by Monday morning. Thank you again Stepping Stones for your quick response. Your service is rare and happily appreciated! Super impressed!
Recently had Steppingstones Masonry redo my fireplace after receiving an absurd quote from another company. Steppingstones quote was reasonable and they even tried to stay as close the quote as possible when they opened up the fireplace and found the internal structure was built incorrectly. Aidan and Tom were honest and pleasant to deal with. Excellent experience, will be my first call if I need additional masonry work! Thanks again!
