Stonehedge Developments builds custom luxury homes and equestrian barns out of Wellesley, and the one written account on file describes exactly that kind of high-end result: a 2018 Houzz review that praised how the home held up "both what was visible and behind the walls" after moving in, plus a follow-up the homeowner called fantastic. The company's own site says it's led by founder Emory Patterson, who it says has worked in home building for over 40 years, and that Stonehedge also builds barns and equestrian structures alongside residential design-build and remodeling work. A 2019 Boston.com feature on a $2.2 million Wellesley home named Stonehedge as the builder, describing it as a company that "designs, builds, and remodels luxury homes in metro Boston." There isn't much written history beyond that single 2018 review, so it's worth asking for references from more recent projects before committing to a high-end build. Stonehedge also lists an Energy Star Builder credential on its own site. For a custom home, addition, or equestrian building project in the Wellesley area where budget runs well into six or seven figures, this is a company with a genuine luxury-home track record, if a thin written one — get current references and a firm contract before signing.
