Because our home is on the Vermont State Register of Historic Places, any construction work requires a thorough knowledge of Burlington's permitting process. Josh, owner of Stonewall, is well versed in Burlington's process. At the outset of the job, Josh met with us and suggested a very creative design for our new driveway and walkway. With an eye toward reducing runoff, Josh recommended appropriate permeable materials and made great use of our small driveway space. For our walkway, Josh designed a very simple and inviting look. The Stonewall Hardscapes crew are consummate professionals. They worked very hard and finished the job in less than three days. The result is beautiful to look at, meticulously crafted and built to last a lifetime. We are very satisfied with Stonewall Hardscape's quality of work, fair pricing, honesty and professionalism. I got to know Josh and his team pretty well over the course of our project (driveway excavation, and installation of clay paver driveway and a bluestone walkway). The whole team- Nick, Kevin, Bruno and Hunter- was organized, professional, and extremely hard working. As a smaller residential project, I still felt we received first class service and a killer finished product. Very happy with the quality of all brick/stone/materials. Moreover he priced very competitively and was very fair when I asked for some deviations along the way. In addition to their high work quality, Josh added a lot of value in the design and planning process which paid off during the project. Bottom line, he and his crew are honest, skilled and hard workers so I'd definitely recommend them.
