Sun Catcher designs and installs on- and off-grid renewable energy systems, according to its website, which names Howie Michaelson as the owner. The site says he has more than 17 years of experience installing, troubleshooting and servicing grid-tied solar PV, and the company reports 20 years in business. In a January 2025 r/vermont thread, a commenter wrote that their family has used Sun Catcher out of Montpelier for years, for multiple arrays and upgrades, and called them great. A 2025 Google customer said they sent their solar project information to Howie as requested but never got a definitive answer, despite following up by voicemail and text, and said they would look elsewhere.
“Sun Catcher. I didn’t really shop around though—knew I wanted it and wanted it started ASAP after moving in”

I sent my solar project information to Howie, the owner, as requested. Unfortunately, I never got a definitive answer despite multiple attempts to follow up via voicemail and text. Extremely unprofessional in terms of reliability. Will look elsewhere.
